can we talk more about ramingining?

this is christopher. i was reading through my journal and discovered i didnt mention him once and now im really upset. but ill print out this photo huge and stick it in. he was very shy around us but you could still see what a lovely person he was. he had qualities that you would kill to find in a kid his age in melbourne. though he probably didnt like me much (because i was kind of creepily obsessed with him and with his shy personality it just doesnt work) he still let me hug him and cry in his arms on the last day. can i just remind you at this point that hes like 8?! anyway just a beautiful boy. he is showing his muscles in this photo but its cut off

this sunset omg i want to be looking at it again. it was on the road to ramingining - a small aboriginal community and we were all filled with excitement. we didnt know the other people coming with us (it was two school groups sort of) and i had never spoken to the boy that took this photo when it was taken. idk im kind of in love with the boy now and i just want to be in this period of time where the journey had barely started and there was still so much that was going to happen. anyway ive tagged the trip with http://tahitea.tumblr.com/tagged/ramingining so checkout it for actual photos of the experience although this kind of is a big part of the experience. the sky was just so much closer bc we were very north of australia and it gave a much stronger connection to nature. there was this one night lying under the stars…sidenote i was lying next to the boy… and i saw my first shooting star! anyway im going off topic ily hannah out
i felt like editing this photo and making the road purps idk.. theres a really cute boy in the background btw omg i loved him

this white tee shirt didnt stay white for long. there was always kids jumping on me and idk we just got dirty easily. this was when we were about to turn to the road that leads into ramingining - a small aboriginal community. ive tagged the trip with ramo so see here for more info http://tahitea.tumblr.com/tagged/ramingining
im pretty popular with the kids…we are having a bit of a prayer circle… nah we were playing that game ‘down by the banks’ but i think it got too confusing for the younger ones. see the boy thats facing the camera? he’s adam and idk if you can see but he just kept holding our hands instead. omg he was beautiful

also not too sure why i look so weird…
she was called carmen. i remember the first time i saw her, two little girls walking by and i was like ‘i want them’ so i ran over and made friends. luck was on my side because when i made friends with those girls i also saw adam (the boy in the blue shorts in this picture http://tahitea.tumblr.com/post/52424174452/some-of-the-beautiful-people-in-ramingining-a… im the one holding him btw) and made friends with him. he is like my child now.  i love him so much.
we went with boys from our brother school and there was this really cute boy with the most beautiful voice and he is really indie like he does ballet and when we were doing aboriginal paintings his was so meaningful and he was the only boy that was still working on it after two minutes. anyway he took this photo and i just love it. all the other boys were playing football with the aboriginal boys and it was the last day and it was a really community football game but luke was taking photos, trust. and this other sweet boy had been captured in the kitchen but me and my friend went to save him yay. idek why im telling you this im feeling really emotional right now and so im just writing down all the memories associated with this picture

this is the video i made for my pilgrimage to an indigenous community in northern australia. i had to cut out a chunk because the video was over 5 minutes but the chunk was just individual photos of each of the girls that went (with kids obviously). also sorry about the poor quality…

the music is ben howard - old pine. not really something im into but it was voted on and i reckon it gives the right feel

i dont know if you all will feel as much attatchment to this image as i do because you didnt meet the boy but he was so photogenic but also so camera shy. in this photo i get shivers because i can feel him looking into me. the way he’s holding the stick is like a cigarette and the way the camera is lower than him makes him seem a lot older than he was. and, in relevance, he was a lot more mature than the other kids his age. on the other hand, i could have sworn he had anger management issues and was a giant attention seeker and so stubborn… but those flaws made me love him even more. this is andrew. one of my main kids that i spent time with in ramingining.
